At Polyus Gold we believe that the gold we produce must benefit the country of Russia and its people.

As our business grows, we create new jobs, generate additional tax revenues for local communities, invest in infrastructure and create opportunities for small and medium business development.

To preserve the values we create today for the generations to come we devote considerable attention to environment protection and biodiversity conservation.

This sustainability report represents the first step towards establishing a dialogue with our stakeholders and understanding their expectations.

The report covers years 2004-2005 and reflects the current implementation of sustainable development principles into company’s operation and outlines key development opportunities in this area.

It is one of the first reports by a Russian company predated according to GRI G3 reporting guidelines 3.0 and GRI Mining and Metals Sector Supplement Pilot Version 1.0.
